The  Society of Icelandic Advertising Agencies is federation of 7 of the largest advertising agencies in Iceland and 2 media agencies, with the main role of representing the interest of its members.

 

SÍA also often represents the interests of the advertising business as a whole in Iceland. SÍA speaks as 'the common voice' for its member companies and works to:

 

- Increase the competence of its members to provide the best service possible for its clients.

- Promote public understanding of, and respect for, commercial communication and its role in promoting competition, innovation and economic and social progress in society.

- Represent the interests of its member companies in its relations with public institutions and government.

- Upholding standards and the principle of self-regulation.

- Combating unjustified restrictions and outright bans on commercial communication for freely and legally available products or services.
